My daily activities during in Tarlac Agricultural University, Tarlac Philipinnes

My name is wendi Icome from Bengkalis,Riau Indonesia. Today, 07 th February 2019 is my first Arrived to Philipinnes, in N.A.I.A Aiport, Manila, at 13.30 pm, and Miss Kat picked me and my friends up. After that, we continued our journey to Tarlac Agricultural University, (TAU). The journey took 5 hours. We arrived arround 20.30 pm, from Manila to Tarlac.

And here i would like to tell you about my daily activities when I was in Tarlac Agricultural University, Tarlac Philipinnes during a month.

My first week

08 Feb. 19

My first activities for today is, opening ceremony, at gymnasium of Tarlac University. Opening remarks, opened by Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, as the director, External Linkages and International Affairs of Aarlac Agricultural University. The ceremony was held from 13.00 to 17.00 pm. There are several show and persentation at the opening ceremony, like, cultural persentations , and persentation of university profiles. Second activities are fellowship night at 6.00 pm at Farmers Training Center (FTC), TAU. This is a party for the participant of SEAMEO SEA- Teacher Exchange Students. We were invitted to joined the party. The party started from 18.00-22.30 pm.

09 Feb. 19

Today is my second day in TAU, Philipinnes. This day I have two activities too, like my first day. My first activity is went to market with my roommates. We went there for bought our needed things along be here. We went to the market at 9.00 am, and we went back to the dormitory at 12.00 pm. And my second activities are attended human relations class at 13.30 pm. The class taught by ma’am christine. The class was held from 13.30 pm until 14.30 pm. At the class we only introduce our self and sharing about our culture to the TAU students. We made long comversation about our,culture,food,and first experience when we were arrived to Philipinnes. The class is very interested I and my friends from Indonesia who are joined SEAMEO SEA- Students Exchange are really enjoyed the class.

In this day we went to market again at the evening only for do window shopping and tried the street food around the market, the market is located at Camiling, Tarlac, Philipinnes. We tried many street from the street around the market. There are so many food sale in the street. But I only tried 2 kinds of food, and you know what, taste is xoxo, I am not really enjoyed the foods because there is no strong taste from the foods. We done the activities at 18.00 pm and we went back to our dormitery use jeepney. The cost of the jeepney is 10 peso only, so guys along we at here we were used jeepney as our transportation.

11 Feb. 19

I started my activities today with joined flag ceremony at 7.30 am, at the hall of Administration Building Central Tarlac Agricultere University. The ceremony was end at 8.30 am. After the ceremony end I went to the College of Business Management building, this building is located in the front of administration central building. Overthere the teacher took us looked around the building and introduce each space to us, and also we got our supervisor overthere and I got Mr. Gerome Soriano as my supervisor. After that, I attended to Mr. Gerome class at 10.00 am, Mr Gerome tought applied economics. I joined the class with intoduce my self first, and told a little bit about my country to my new philipino’s friends. They are so kind and friendly, they really welcome me. For today class we only have to introduced our self to each other, cause this is my first class in TAU, the class was end at 12. 00 pm. I went back to the dormitery after the class end, for took a rest. And my class started again at 13.00 pm, but at the evening i don’t have anymore, i used the free time for made an new ID card. This ID card is used for students who are studied in the campus. It’s took around 2 until 3 hours to finished the process of made the ID card, cause there are to many students made it too. So, after I finished the process end I went back to the dormitery again.

12 Feb. 19

Today Istarted my day at 7.30 am, I went to the administration central building to fill up my attendance list in the mechine. And than I went to the business of management building to attended ma’am Nica class at 7.30 am, ma’am Nica tought the enterpreneurial personality lesson for today. I enjoyed the class for 30 minutes only caus I have to attendance a seminar in agro tourism hostel function hall. The seminar topic is “Eco Seminar On Smart Farming and Precision Irrigation Technology For Crop Production”. The speakers only told about agricurtule, technology of agriculture and kinds of agriculture plants. The seminar was held from 8.30 am, until 4.30 pm. I also got a certificat from the seminar. After the seminar end I went to dormitery back.

13 Feb. 19

This day I attented Mr. Gerome class, Mr. Gerome tought us about demand and supply for today. The class started at 10.00 am, and end at 11.30 pm. I am really enjoyed this class,iI learned a lot things about this lesson and many knowledge I got. After the class end I went back to the ftc again and than around 17.00 pm I and my friends have meeting with Maam Cristine, we discussed about the laws in the FTC, or our dormitery.

14 Feb. 19

Today I attended 2 class, first class is Maam Mita, and second class are, Mr. Halord. The first class started at 7.30 am, and the second class started at 11. 00 am. For the first class I learned about the entrepreneur and enterpreneurship. And for second class I learned about how to be an enterpreneur. After the class end I went to ftc again for took a rest, and around 14.00 pm. I and my coordinating teacher went to Camiling for visited my intership place, I was deployed at LANDBANK, Camiliing Branch, as the goverment bank, the location is not to far from my dormitery, it is took around 10 or 15 minutes from the dormitery. After visited the bank I went around the Camiling with my coordinating teacher and my friends. I went to the church as the tourism place in Camiling. Next we went to a restaurant to ate our lunch, and than after took a lunch we went back to our dormitery again.

15 feb. 19

Today is Friday, so this day we do not have class anymore, but the teacher asked we to make some perform for the CBM night socialization. So I and my friend make a discussed about what will we perform. We took long time for decided what will we performend. After took a disscussed we decided to make a performend our national dance ‘’ Tari Ondel-Ondel’’ for the CBM weeks. Than we started our first practiced today at 9.00 am, and we finished the practice at 12.00 pm. Than around 13.30 pm I went to a seminar that held on CEC hall. The seminar is about ENACTUS, ENACTUS is one of the organization that able in Tarlac Agriculture University, the seminar started at 14.00 pm to 17.00 pm.

Today we have English test at 13.00 pm, but before the test held, we studied English and Tagalog langguage first. The test was held at administration building on I lab.
